Presentation of the Collective Action Agreement Cocoa, Forests and Diversity

Peruvian cocoa has a high potential to position itself in the market based on quality, diversity of origin attributes and free deforestation. Taking advantage of this potential requires changes at the production level, collective action by stakeholders and the implementation of solutions to solve the low productivity in the field.

Peru is recognized in the global market as an exporter of quality cocoa with certified attributes of origin. This year, different actors from the private sector, civil society and government are joining forces to strengthen the differentiation of Peruvian cocoa through the diversity of its attributes of origin and production in harmony with the forests through a collective action agreement.

This Friday, May 28th, the Coalition for Sustainable Production will hold the Presentation of the Agreement, Cocoa, Forests and Diversity via the Zoom platform.
