Business, civil society and government validate the implementation plan of the Cacao Forests and Diversity Agreement

The Cocoa Agreement Forests and Diversity is an agreement between private organizations, government and civil society that promotes the differentiation of Peruvian cocoa based on quality, diversity of origin attributes and its restorative and deforestation-free potential.

The last meeting to validate the implementation plan by the participating companies, government and civil society organizations was held on Friday 14. The objective of this plan is to promote implementation according to the needs of the sector, with the involvement of cocoa cooperatives, exporting companies, service companies of the sector's ecosystem, among others. 

This activity is possible thanks to the Sustainable Cocoa of Amazonian Origin initiative of the Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA) and is supported by USAID.
