THE COCOA, FORESTS AND DIVERSITY AGREEMENT
An agreement between private organizations, government and civil society that promotes the differentiation of peruvian cocoa, based in quality, diversity of origin attributes, as well as its restaurative and deforestation-free potential.
This initiative is formed by organizations from the cocoa sector engaged with the implementation of the Cocoa, Forest and Diversity Agreement signed on June 2021.

The Peruvian cocoa sector generates around USD 300 millions of exportations. However, we must be aware that there are increasing international trend for cocoa sustainability legislation that have emerged in the last few years. Today, the European Union is discussing sustainable production schemes.
